About Me

HERE I AM AND HERE WE GO!
"But because God was so gracious, so very generous, here I am. And I'm not about to let is grace go to waste. Haven't I worked hard trying to do more than any others? Even then, my work didn't amount to all that much. It was God giving me the energy to do it. So whether you heard it from me or from those others, it's all the same: We spoke God's truth and you entrusted your lives."
1 Corinthians 15:10 MSGWHO AM I?
This is a question that people usually respond by naming a bunch of things they've achieved, titles they've earned, and other self-worth stuff. But if you want the truth about me, I'm just a guy following his passions and doing his best to follow his faith in Jesus. I am an introvert who gets energized by people when I come in, then immediately gets drained when I leave. My time alone helps me reset and recenter myself with God instead of peoples opinions. I am someone who deeply enjoys all genres of art and dabbles in a few, but I am also the biggest critic when it comes to things I create.Who do I want to be? I want to be a person who is slow to speak and quick to listen, really listen. I want to be generous with what I have; time, money, talents, and opportunity. I want to be someone who lives one day at a time, making space for the interruptions of life and living in joy, despite my circumstances. Most of all, I want to be someone who cares more about progression than perfection. Simply put, I want to be more like Jesus.WHERE DID I COME FROM?
The easy answer: 1996, Born in Puerto Rico, raised in Miami, and now living in Ocala, Florida. But if you want the real answer, here goes...
Raised with divorced parents from a very young age. Throughout that season, I just went day by day, on autopilot. Listening to music, watching cartoons, and finding any way to escape reality, including my own imagination. Because of that the majority of my childhood is a blur. I lived most of that time in my own worlds, but there was one moment where something within me unlocked. It was during a special episode of the Loony Toons, where Bugs Bunny, spoke about a man named Mel Blanc. Later on, I tried for the life of me to find that special, but it was nowhere to be found. Did I imagine it? Was it some divine vision from God? Who knows, but all I care about is that moment was when voice over entered my life. Now, I was actually pretty lonely throughout my childhood and teen years, despite how easy it was for me to get along with just about anyone. Throughout high school, I was home alone a lot and always loved practicing different voices as I put myself in different worlds and scenarios. I did my own sound effects too. But it wasn't until senior year that I was finally able to join theater. I wasn't the greatest student, so electives were often not an option for me. But this was the moment that Voice acting really became a possibility. Halfway through the year I was moved to the advanced class and performed in my first play. This was when I knew for sure this was the path for me.College came around and naturally I majored in theater. Ended up getting a full scholarship and I began learning so much. Unfortunately, after the second semester, there were no more theater/acting classes. My only options were general ed classes or some other performing arts classes. So I did what any responsible student would do... I dropped out and got a job. It was about this same time that I really started getting into photography. I wasn't learning theater and I heard that the only way to actually succeed in Acting was to live in California or New York, so i figured I would pursue photography instead. I learned manual exposure, my local church was gracious enough to let me practice during service and I got good. Really good. I fell in love with capturing moments in time. I decided to start my own photography business and that didn't go super well. My clients were happy with the results, but there was just a few problems that held me back. I loved the art of it, but business? Networking? Not so much. So I have tons of great memories, but the business side wasn't very successful.2021 came around and by this time, Photography took center stage in my life and voice over became an afterthought. Not because I didn't still have a passion for it, but because it seemed like an unrealistic pursuit. I didn't know how to even get started, I believed I needed to get an education for it, and most of all, I didn't believe in myself enough. This was the time when the world was slowly starting to open up after the devastating period of COVID-19. I was working for an event center, broke up with my ex, and I was solely focused on enjoying my singleness. Began looking for apartments so I could move out and finally live the independent life. Then a certain pretty-looking coworker began to take an interest in me. I tried so hard to brush her off, even presented my other single male co-worker, but she was persistent. One night, after an event, she and I were breaking down and cleaning up and we just started talking. She was beautiful, but there was something special that she made me feel, that I never felt with anyone else... Safe. Throughout that conversation, she just let me talk without judgement or criticism. Finally, I could truly be the real me, the person that I was behind closed doors and it was okay. and on February 6, 2022 she became my lovely wife. For the first few years, my new passion became supporting my wife. She became everything to me, to a point where my own desires took a backseat in an unhealthy way. We struggled a lot and overcame a whole lot. Then in 2024, she bought me my first professional microphone for my birthday. But it wasn't until 2025, that she truly inspired me to pursue the dream that I've had since I was little. And the journey truly began for my Voice Over career.
So here I am; learning, growing, progressing. And Here we go; faithful, authentic, and on the journey of self-discovery.
